Hello and Konichiwa! I’m Mai Kitazono.
This year marks my twentieth year anniversary of working in the hair industry across Japan, London UK, and here in Toronto.
My roots are from Japan and my foundational skill and customer service comes from there. I pride myself in using that to provide the best experience for you.
After 12 amazing years with Kamiya Hairdressing, I’ve started my own venture as an independent hairstylist and I have been working from a new space since January 2025.
Kamiya was a huge part of my life here in Canada and I can’t thank them enough for the support and opportunity they gave me throughout those years, but more importantly the friendships and memories. It’s amazing to have loyal clients that have trusted me since the beginning and I truly can’t express my gratitude enough.
I’ve had the privilege of working backstage at both New York and Toronto Fashion Weeks, collaborating with some of the industry’s top talents to create stunning looks for the runway.

I am operating out of Hair By David & Co. on the fifth floor (unit 501) of 477 Richmond St W, just west of Spadina Ave, across from Waterworks.
The closest major intersection is Queen & Spadina, in beautiful downtown Toronto.
There is a Green P parking lot just north of Queen St, $2.5 per half hour.
There are several other parking options as shown on the map but I believe the Green P is your best option.

Vivid colour services require 2 week notice so we can order the colour, deposit maybe required.
We request a minimum of 24 hours notice for a cancellation otherwise there is a 50% cancellation fee. If you fail to notify us that you can not make your appointment, we charge 100% of the appointment cost. We reserve the right to refuse requests for corrections to haircuts or colours that are not notified to us within 10 days. We will do our best to hold your appointment if you are running late and accommodate you to the best our our ability, but please note services or stylist may need to be altered, or the appointment cancelled if you’re more than 15 minutes late.
